This process is called digitizing. Where more or less we convert a graphic or logo into various stitches so the embroidery machine can read where it needs to place each stitch. The digitizing process can take time, so it is imparative that we see the artwork first to let you know the cost on setting the file up to be ready for embroidery.
A monogram is more or less a more fancy word for a logo or stylized lettering with unique designs encompassing it, however, monogramming is unique as to its use. It was used historically as a signature, a way of exchanging secret messages from secret societies, religious groups, monarchs, letterheads, and other various linens.
